I want to contribute

ROJO®magazine is exclusively made out of your contributions. You show your talent and we print it and distribute it internationally through the best specialized bookshops and stores. (distro list)

If you want to see your works published in ROJO®magazine there are 3 rules the contributor must follow.

Rules

1. Project must be atemporal, specific and exclusive for ROJO®.
2. Project must not include any kind of text, it must be purely visual.
3. handing in a project does not necesary mean that it will be published... many projects do not get published but they are always taken in consideration for future issues... anyway... if you do not get published inmediately... you cannot get mad with ROJO®... bad vibes are PROHIBITED.

If you agree on the 3 rules please prepare a 6 to 10 page project. Send as many projects as you want. All projects will be review to be part of any of the next printed issues. ROJO® is an international magazine that works exclusively with images. Make your own diagramation without any explanatory texts or credits.

IMPORTANT: do not place any credits in the artwork

The credits are to be placed in the magazine index. Send credits in a TXT file. All material submited will remain indefinitely at ROJO®archive and it is subject to be printed in any of ROJO® forthcoming issues.



Selection process of the artworks

All artworks submited go through a selection board to be part of one of the next ROJO® printed issues. Only the works that are submitted following the instructions displayed will enter the selection process. Please make sure you send your works including everything is requested and following the tech specs described in the next chapter.

If your works are selected to be part of one of next ROJO® printed issues we will send you one copy of the issue your works are included as courtesy for contributing. If you need extra copies you always be able to buy them with a 50% special discount.


Technical specs to hand in the projects

All entries should be submitted as follows:

Single page: 216mm x 286mm

Double page spread: 426mm x 286mm

Artworks must be submmitted in a CD with printproofs. All entries should be Hi-RES 350 dpi TIFF files in CMYK-mode, without any type of compression. We also accept EPS files. EPS should also be in CMYK-mode. any doubts... please write to ROJO® here.




VERY IMPORTANT

you must also include a signed printed copy of the following "grant of rights" text including all your data. This document allows ROJO® to print the artwork you send and also safekeeps both editor and artists rights.

The undersigned hereby grants to SINTONISON S.L. publisher of ROJO®MAGAZINE the right to reproduce the work identified above in any of its forth-coming issues, in all editions, revisions, and reprintings of the issues; in promotional materials thereto; and in all media which makes ROJO® available in visual form for reading; and as a contribution to other collected works in all such media. The below signed hereby confirms that (1) the information attached hereto is correct, (2) the below signed is either the sole owner of all rights to the work (and to any and all photographs, samples, and transparencies of the work being submitted) or has been authorized by the owner(s) of such rights to grant the rights herein granted, and (3) the publication of the work will not violate the rights of any third party.

The below signed agrees that (1) the below signed will not receive any direct financial compensation from SINTONISON S.L. for granting these rights herein, (2) the materials submitted will not be returned (3) the below signed shall not hold SINTONISON S.L. responsible for the safekeeping of any materials in SINTONISON S.L. possession, and (4) SINTONISON S.L. is entitled to rely for permission on a facsimile of this original.

Attention

Please do NOT to submit your works by e-mail. Not even some samples. We only want to see what you want to publish. Although we appreciate the time and effort you spent in sending us the material, a submission is not an editorial agreement to be published. To enter selection process, ROJO® needs all the materials requested and the "grant of rights" document signed by the artist.

Quiero colaborar

ROJO® es una publicación que se realiza integramente con colaboraciones. Tu muestras tu talento y nosotros lo publicamos y lo distribuimos internacionalmente en los mejores puntos de venta del planeta. (lista de distribución)

Si quieres que tus trabajos sean publicados en la edición impresa de ROJO® debes seguir algunas reglas básicas.

Reglas

1. El trabajo debe ser atemporal, específico y exclusivo para ROJO®.
2. El trabajo no debe incluir ningún tipo de texto explicativo, debe ser puramente visual.
3. Entrega un trabajo no significa necesariamente que saldrá publicado. Muchos trabajos entregados no salen publicados pero son considerados para próximos números. De todas formas, si no sale publicado bajo ninguna circunstancia te puedes enfadar con ROJO®... los malos rollos están PROHIBIDOS.

Si aceptas estas condiciones... por favor prepara una colaboración de entre 6-10 páginas. Tambien puedes mandar varios proyectos. Todos los proyectos enviados se revisan para su inclusión en uno de los proximos números impresos. ROJO® es una revista internacional que trabaja exclusivamente con imagenes. Maqueta tus páginas sin incluir textos explicativos ni créditos.

IMPORTANTE: los creditos no deben figurar en los trabajos.

Manda los créditos en un documento de texto, junto con las imagenes, dentro del CD para que sean maquetados en el índice de la revista. Todo el material enviado permanecera indefinidamente en los archivos de ROJO® y es sujeto a ser publicado en uno de los próximos números de ROJO®.


Selección de trabajos

Todos los trabajos entregados pasan un proceso de selección para formar parte de uno de los próximos números de ROJO®. Solo los trabajos que cumplen las condiciones especificadas y los requisitos técnicos serán seleccionados para próximas ediciones impresas de ROJO®. Asegúrate que envias tu trabajo incluyendo todo el material que solicitamos y siguiendo los parámetros técnicos que especificamos a continuación.

Si tu trabajo es seleccionado para una de las ediciones impresas de ROJO® te enviamos un ejemplar a casa como cortesia por tu colaboración. Si necesitas más ejemplares podrás adquirirlos con un descuento del 50%.


Especificaciones técnicas para la entrega de material

Todos los trabajos deben entregarse de la siguiente manera:

Las medidas de la página sencilla son: 216mm ancho x 286mm alto.

Las medidas de la página doble son: 426mm ancho x 286mm alto.

Entrega en CD con una prueba de impresión, no hace falta que sea profesional, una impresión de tu impresora es suficiente. Documentos en formato TIFF a 350dpi de resolución. En modo CMYK y sin ningún tipo de compresión. Tambien aceptamos documentos EPS en modo CMYK. Cualquier duda, por favor escribe un mail a ROJO® aqui



MUY IMPORTANTE

El siguiente documento estipula la cesión de los derechos de la obra por el artista para que podamos reproducirla en ROJO® salvaguardando los derechos del editor y del autor. Debes incluir una copia impresa del siguiente texto, con tus datos y tu firma:

Aunque te agradecemos el tiempo y esfuerzo que gastas en mandarnos el material, enviar una colaboración no es una garantia editorial que saldrás publicado. Para participar en el proceso de selección, ROJO® necesita todos los materiales indicados además del documento grant of rights firmado.
